Missing for 7 months, the Supreme Court makes another move for Vis Martinaj. Here is what the confidential material of the Criminal Police contains

While Ervis Martinaj has been missing for 7 months and at the same time wanted by SPAK, the high court will consider an appeal of the 41-year-old on March 2.

It is about the complaint of 2018 when he was arrested for the block incident where his friend Fabiol Gaxha was killed and Eljon Hato and Martinaj himself were injured. The latter was kept in prison for several months and then released on bail by the Tirana court. At the end of the trial, the charge of attempted murder against him was dropped, however, he was sentenced to 3 years and 8 months in prison with a shortened trial for "Providing conditions and means for murder", "Concealment of income", "Forgery of passports, identity cards, visas", as well as "Organization or practice of gambling activities in violation of the law". This sentence remained unenforced as the case has not yet been considered on appeal when it would be final or acquitted.

In a confidential material of the criminal police provided by Euronews Albania, Ervis Martinaj is listed among the characters who have been "paddled" by justice over the years after being arrested but have benefited from preferential treatment and lenient sentences.

Për vrasjen në datë 11.112015, vrasja e shtetasit Enton Nikaj dhe plagosja e shtetasit Ismet Gaxherri, në lokal “Muraga”, Linzë Tiranë ” thuhet në raportin konfidencial të policisë.
