The new judicial map, lawyer Gjokutaj issues a strong warning: We will have a collapse, corruption is not related to geographical distance

Attorney Genc Gjokutaj, in an interview in the "Opinion" column, commented on the new judicial map decision, stating that the system does not respond to the flow of trials.

"The Court of Appeal of Tirana, which will be the General Court of Appeal from today, does not have the environment to cope with the flows. You should go see where the judges work", said Gjokutaj.

During this interview, Gjokutaj further said that the effectiveness has not been taken into account and that according to him the new system will not respond to the demands of the realization of justice in time of the citizens.

"It is impossible to do it under these conditions. Justice cannot be given in this form, in which the Court of Appeal is located. There can be no concentration in just one court... The problems were not calculated in the making of this new judicial map. For example, a judicial service without being in Court, registering a complaint, does the system work or not because there are such problems! The map was made without consulting lawyers or interest groups and like anything else. That's why I say that things that start quickly and are done with an accelerated procedure are destined to fail", said Gjokutaj, adding: "Corruption is never related to geographical distance, especially since Albania is small".
