In the consultation room, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence of 30 years of imprisonment for Julian Sinanaj, since due to his status as a witness of justice, he escaped life imprisonment, reports ABC News journalist Ermal Vija.
The sentence given in March 2017 by the former Appeal for serious crimes remained in force for the other 5 defendants, Genis Mëhillaj 10 years in prison, Albin Mexhaj 8 years in prison, Ilir Karçini 5 years in prison, Ndriçim Gjokona 8 years prison, Marjon Mitro 8 years in prison. As for Andon Mehillaj, who was sentenced to life imprisonment, the high court dismissed the case after he spent his life in prison in 2020.
Julian Sinanaj indicated that he was paid for several criminal events, while other members of the group, also known as the trutorli gang, acted in the form of a structured criminal group.
