The Supreme Court yesterday upheld the 30-year prison sentence for Julian Sinanaj, the serial killer accused of a series of paid murders in Albania and Greece. The latter, due to his status as a witness of justice, escaped life imprisonment. The sentence of 30 years in prison for Sinanaj was given in March 2017 by the former Appel for serious crimes and has remained in force for the other 5 defendants, Genis Mëhillaj 10 years in prison, Albin Mexhaj 8 years in prison, Ilir Karçini 5 years in prison, Ndriçim Gjokona 8 years in prison, Marjon Mitro 8 years in prison. Meanwhile, for Andon Mehillaj, the Supreme Court dismissed the case where he was sentenced to life imprisonment after he died in prison in 2020.

Who is Sinanaj and what happened?

Sinanaj belongs to the so-called "Tritol Gang" in Vlora, as well as the author of the murder of Sokol Veiz, Julian Metushaj, Agron Çela, the tritoli in the apartment of Ardian Kolloz, the former head of the PD in Vlora, the tritoli in the vehicle of the former perfect Besnik Dervishi and the remaining attempted murder of the PB citizen. To carry out the murders, Julian Sinanaj was well trained in Greece. He was paid large sums of money, which is evidenced by the luxurious life he led. "I sent most of the money I received from the murders to my family in Greece, while the rest I kept for myself, using it for casinos, women and trips abroad." This is what Julian Sinanaj, the penitent justice, said when he was asked by the prosecutors of Serious Crimes, what he did with the money he took from Marjon Mitros and the two cousins ??Mihillaj. In his testimony, Sinanaj confessed that he used a part of the lek to fulfill his desires, where he mainly played in casinos, went with women and traveled abroad. According to Sinanaj, he also used part of the money to buy weapons and tritol, with which the other penitent Ndriçim Gjokona always supplied him. According to Sinanaj, he sometimes accompanied women in order not to be noticed by the police, but also by the people he targeted to kill. Through the company of women, he "disguised himself", from where he took photos of various businessmen with the camera. According to him, there were times when he sat very close to the people he was going to kill in various bars and restaurants, listening to their conversations at the table.

Ndërkohë dje një 58-vjeçar nga Kosova është vënë në hetim pasi ka fshehur në makinë dhe nuk ka deklaruar 11 790 euro. Mësohet se bëhet fjalë për 58-vjeçarin N. F.. 58-vjeçarit i është sekuestruar shuma dhe ndaj tij rëndon akuza për veprën penale "Mosdeklarimi në kufi i të hollave dhe i sendeve me vlerë". “Fshehu në automjet 11 790 euro, me qëllim mosdeklarimin e tyre konform ligjit, procedohet penalisht 58-vjeçari (shtetas kosovar) dhe i sekuestrohet shuma e parave. Shërbimet e Policisë Kufitare të PKK Muriqan, bazuar në analizën e riskut, kanë intensifikuar kontrollet me qëllim parandalimin, evidentimin dhe goditjen e paligjshmërive kufitare. Në këtë kuadër, në hyrje të RSH-së, kanë kaluar në vijën e dytë, për kontroll më të imtësishëm, automjetin me drejtues shtetasin N. F. Gjatë kontrollit të ushtruar në këtë automjet, shërbimet e PKK Muriqan gjetën dhe sekuestruan 11 790 euro, të padeklaruara nga shtetasi N. F., konform ligjeve në fuqi. Në përfundim të veprimeve procedurale për këtë rast, strukturat operacionale të DVP Shkodër referuan materialet në Prokurori ku nisi procedimi në gjendje të lirë për shtetasin N. F., 58 vjeç, banues në Pejë, Kosovë, për veprën penale "Mosdeklarimi në kufi i të hollave dhe i sendeve me vlerë”, njoftoi dje policia.
