Independence Day/Albanians "occupy" London, several arrests are reported (Video)
Written by SOT.COM.AL 29 Nëntor 2023
Thousands of Albanians descended on the center of London yesterday evening to celebrate Independence Day, November 28.
"Dailymail" writes that the streets around Westminster were blocked by hundreds of Albanians waving flags and lighting fireworks. Albanians, while proudly celebrating November 28, took out their luxury cars from the garages, as they "raised" the city with the sound of fountains.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that several Albanians were arrested, who threw fireworks and shot bottles at the police.
The police issued an order for the Albanians to leave the streets of central London, but they have not obeyed the order and thus several arrests have been made for blocking the streets and disturbing the public peace.
The video shared on social media shows Albanian demonstrators parading their cars and flags through London.
