Omicron Ba2 sub-variant is also confirmed in Albania. The Institute of Public Health has received the results of the analysis from the Berlin laboratory, which has identified the first cases of this mutation in our country.

Among the many suspected samples sent to Germany, some cases tested positive for Ba2 and the rest for Omicron.

In fact, for weeks specialists had doubts about the circulation of another variant of the coronavirus, even more contagious than Omicron, as in recent days the infections started growing again. It is not yet known how this variant is passed by people who have tested positive for Ba2, but experts are convinced that vaccination with 2 and 3 doses helps to pass the disease more easily.

With the Omicron wave fading, interest in the anti-covid vaccine plummeted as young people continue to be the most repulsive category. But unlike the Omicron, its Ba2 subvariant is much more contagious and spreads faster. Almost all of Europe has an increase in cases of this mutation, which has signs similar to Omicron but according to specialists is heavily passed by the unvaccinated.
