A police officer was captured by the police yesterday evening in Greece.
Amarildo Kureta, 32 years old, worked for several years in the Berat Local Police Directorate, where he was part of the operatives of the Operational Forces in this directorate.
Journalist Eineida Petova informs that earlier Kureta was part of the "Eagle" forces in the Tirana Police Directorate, but the Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla has informed that the latter has been excluded from the ranks of the police.
It is learned that Kureta had received his annual leave and was going on vacation, but as soon as he entered the Greek customs he was handcuffed. The official sources of DVP Berat confirm that they have not received any notification from Interpol that their officer was a person "wanted" for drug trafficking.
The same sources confirm that Kureta had received the annual permit, in accordance with all the rules of the slides of the state police. Amarildo Kureta was wanted by the Italian state, where he is accused of drug trafficking, after several years of investigations and encryption of phone conversations between the officer and a structured crime network in the field of narcotics.
