Anton Kosteri, the lawyer who dealt with the case of Diana Bahçjas, said in an interview for "Review" in Euronews Albania that the 25-year-old was denounced by her ex-father-in-law.

The young woman who was arrested leaving the 8-day-old baby at home has already been released from prison. The court of first instance in Tirana imposed a fine in 2020 of 2 million and 500 thousand old lek, converting it to 50 days in prison. The reason for the fine is the abandonment of the child Diana has from her first marriage.

"We managed to find only 2 court decisions. The 2020 decision that sentenced him to a fine first for the criminal offense of abandoning a minor child and then the conversion decision. She was reported on June 9, 2017 at the Mat police station. That's where the process started, the ex-father-in-law denounced it specifically, who claimed that Diana left the apartment unexpectedly and left the 8-month-old child behind. The ex-mother-in-law took the same position and then it was confirmed by the ex-husband, that in fact at the time when it is claimed that Diana left the apartment, he was not in Albania, but in emigration to Greece for economic reasons, " - said the lawyer.
