The arrest of Dako by SPAK/ Klodiana Lala reveals new details: It is suspected that there was a leak of information, this is how the former mayor was kept under surveillance by the police

SPAK yesterday issued arrest warrants for former mayor Vangjush Dako and other officials of the Municipality of Durrës.

Dako is accused of abuse of office, in relation to a building built in the center of the city of Durrës, the building which suffered great damage from the 2019 earthquake.

Journalist Klodiana Lala said that there are doubts that there was a leak of information, and that Vangjush Dako was kept under observation by the police.

"If the palace had collapsed due to the earthquake, there could have been a loss of human life. The residents initially claimed the criminal offense of attempted murder. But criminal proceedings were registered for abuse of office. The Special Prosecutor's Office addressed the court with a request for the appointment of security measures. There was a leak of information, but also a sighting of Vangjush Dako. From the information, Dako has not left Durrës and all the time he stayed near the electoral headquarters. From the moment the Prosecutor's Office made a request for his arrest, he was under surveillance by the police", the journalist reported, among other things.
