A 30-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in Germany with the intention of extradition to Albania. It is about Silvester Driza, 30 years old, wanted by SPAK for money laundering for the incinerator affair. The police informs that as a result of the information provided and their exchange with the German counterparts, the coded police operation "Freiburg" was finalized.
"Following the cooperation between Interpol Tirana and counterparts, for the localization, capture and extradition of citizens wanted by the SPAK, within the police operation coded "Freiburg", as a result of the information provided and the exchange in time, by the Police German citizen Silvester Driza, 30 years old, was arrested in Freiburg, Germany, for the purpose of extradition to Albania, the national wanted internationally," the police announced.
The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime, Tirana, has assigned the 30-year-old the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Cleaning the products of a criminal offense or criminal activity".
Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Wiesbaden/Germany, is following the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to our country.
