On International Children's Rights Day, the National Pact against sexual violence and any form of violence against children was signed yesterday. The pact was signed by the Minister of the Interior, the Minister of Education and Sports, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Minister of State for Youth and Children, as well as representatives of civil society, as a commitment to coordinate actions to protect children's rights in Albania. "This pact is of particular importance, as it is about the safety and protection of children, who are the first in our policies. We are committed to strengthening the prevention and early warning mechanisms, as the best way to reduce, until the elimination of any form of violence against children", said the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu. Speaking about the new reform just announced by the Ministry of Education and Sports in preschool education, Manastirliu said that it will affect all aspects related to safety, protection and education in early childhood.
