'The third shift came, but the police did not let them start the work', the journalist tells from Rinas who took over the Watchtower
Written by SOT.COM.AL 7 Prill 2021
"Open" journalist, Genta Dobra said that the third shift of employees who are responsible for the observation tower of Rinas airport have come, presented themselves at work, but were not allowed by the police to start work. Then they left.
She also said that now the airport has been taken over by the police and the Army and no one is allowed to enter the territory of the airport.
Even the controllers who were there until the afternoon, have left and said they will continue their "battle" to find common ground with the government.
Journalist: The police and the army have been running the airport since noon. Controllers are not allowed, those of the third shift are not allowed by the police. There was no agreement between them. Only the Armed Forces are in the watchtower, the third shift is not allowed. And just a few minutes ago even those who were in the watchtowers left. As you can see they are just blue uniforms and army forces. Work on the watchtowers is not starting. From the information we have is that the flights will remain temporarily blocked and then there will be a plan that will be made public. From the communication we had with the controllers we were told that they will continue the resistance, but they are trying to have a dialogue between them and the government to resolve the disputes and demands they have.
